Specialized Divisions
Non-Tumbling: (Recreation and School)

Please read your team may qualify for this division

Important: you do not have to change your routine to be in this division.

Here at Complete Cheer & Dance Championships most of us started our coaching careers in either a recreation or school cheerleading program, because of that we realize and have experienced the frustrations of competing with minimal tumbling skills. We have all seen the score sheets where a judge has written, add more tumbling! We are aware that in most Recreation and School programs, a coach can not require tumbling classes. With that in mind we created this “Non-Tumbling” division. To compete in this division, the routine can have no tumbling more advanced than a back handspring. No more than 50% of the team may perform a back handspring or a back handspring(s) tumbling pass. The routine may incorporate full team cartwheels, forward rolls, backward rolls, round offs, and tumbling passes (as long as you stay within the 50% rule guideline). No points will be deducted for tumbling in this division**, however please note, no points will be awarded for tumbling either. The teams in this division will not be judged/scored on tumbling. Teams will only be judged on stunts, tosses, jumps, dance, cheers, motions etc. Please refer to the Non-Tumbling score sheet for the exact judging criteria and scoring breakdown. This division is perfect for teams that have strong stunting skills but minimal tumbling.
**Note a deduction will be taken if a cheerleader performs any tumbling skill more advanced than a back handspring. I.E. Tucks, aerials, lay-outs would be illegal.

Non-Stunting Division:
This division was designed for the schools and recreation programs where stunting is not allowed. No stunting or tosses are allowed in this division.

Mascots:
Mascots will only be counted as a team member when they “participant within the routine” (i.e. cheer, chant, dance etc.) A mascot whose custom obstructs their vision or is overly cumbersome, may not be involved in any stunt, tumbling or be a spotter.

All Star Rules and Guidelines:
USASF and NLCC rules are entirely compatible with Complete Cheer and Dance Championships rules. If your routine is legal in USASF and NLCC competitions, then it will be legal in ours. Our rules can be found on our web site or you may call our office and we will be happy to email them. As you read our rules, you will find that we have given you the coach a little more “play” room with tumbling and stunts. Our rules were written with the coach and choreographer, especially those with smaller teams, in mind as well as the safety of our cheerleaders. Please read through our rules and if you have any questions on legality or stunts please email our office at Rules@completecheeranddance.com. It is also important that you also refer to our glossary for definitions of certain cheerleading terminology and rules.

* A deduction will be taken for any routine that contains choreography, music or uniforms that is considered inappropriate. The routine will not be eligible for Grand Champion.

College Rules and Guidelines:
Our rules and guidelines for colleges are available on our web site. If you would like a copy of our rules via email or regular mail please call our office or email us at Rules@completecheeranddance.com. Please note, in order to compete in our college division, all cheerleaders must meet the requirements established by the university they are attending.
* A deduction will be taken for any routine that contains choreography, music or uniforms that is considered inappropriate. The routine will not be eligible for Grand Champion.

Code of Conduct:
* All directors, coaches, and participants agree to conduct themselves in a civil and sportsmanlike manner. Any unsportsmanlike behavior will result in a deduction taken from a team’s score or the team’s disqualification.
* All Competitors, directors, coaches, and studio owners agree to abide by the judge’s decision. Any questions or concerns about scores shall only be made to an event mangers or owners. Under no circumstances is anyone allowed to approach a judge, tabulation or judge’s table.
