Complete Cheer & Dance Championships: All-Star Rules

General Rules
1) All teams must be supervised by qualified coach, director and/or trainer at all times.
2) Directors and/or coaches must have, at all times, emergency contact numbers for all of their team members.
3) Routines may not exceed 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Timing begins with the first beat of music or sound effects. All participants must have at least one foot on the performance floor when the routine begins.
4) While competing, all jewelry is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to; rings, earrings, facial rings, belly button rings, tongue rings, pins, wrist and ankle bracelets (metal or otherwise) and rhinestones applied to the skin. Participants may not tape over jewelry, jewelry must be removed. Exception; medical alert bracelets or necklaces maybe worn provided they are taped to the body. Rhinestones adhered to the uniform are also allowed.
5) Soft-soled shoes must be worn at all times while competing. Gymnastics shoes/slippers, Dance shoes/ boots or similar footwear are prohibited.
6) With the exception of a spring floor, any height increasing apparatus is prohibited.
7) Pom pons, banners, flags, signs and megaphones are the only legal props allowed. Props with poles or any other hard support surface may not be used in conjunction of any kind of stunts and/or tumbling. All props must be safely discarded, i.e. no throwing hard signs etc. across the mat.
8) Where a stunt requires a spotter or an additional spotter, the spotter must be one of the participating team members (Special Needs teams are excepted).
9) Braces and Casts: Medical Braces (prescribed) and/or supports may be worn provided that any hard or unyielding surfaces are covered. Participants that have a plaster or fiberglass cast may not be involved in any stunts, tumbling or jumps. **
10) All drops, including but not limited to, seat, knee, thigh, front, back, split, and face drops from a jump, tumbling, inversion and stunt are prohibited unless the majority of the weight if first borne by the hands and/or feet, which substantially breaks the impact of the drop. Shushinovas are allowed.
11) Skills allowed in one level additionally encompass all skills allowed in all the preceding levels.

** At Complete Cheer and Dance Championships we are concerned with the safety of the cheerleader/dancer first. It is with this in mind that we separate ourselves from other competition companies by not allowing participants with plaster/fiberglass casts to be involved in any stunts and/or tumbling. Casts are meant to prevent or decrease muscle contractions and to immobilize the broken bone as it heals.


General Tumbling Rules for All Levels
1) All tumbling must land on and originate from the competition floor.
a) Tumblers may rebound into a stunt/stunt transition from his/her feet provided there is not hip over head rotation, i.e. no flipping.
i) Tumblers may rebound into a prone position.
2) Tumbling with a prop or while in contact with a prop is prohibited.
3) Tumbling under, over or through a pyramid, stunt, individual, or a prop is prohibited. Exception: A standing forward or backward roll over a prop is legal. A standing forward roll over an arm or leg is legal.
4) Assisted, spotted or connected tumbling is prohibited. (Example: Chorus line flip, double cartwheels and connected forward rolls)
5) Dive rolls in a swan or layout position are illegal.

Level 1 Rules
Standing and Running Tumbling
1) Physical contact with the competition floor must be maintained while performing a tumbling skill. Exception dive/block cartwheels and round-offs.
2) Forward and backward rolls, handstand forward rolls, back extensions, front and back walkovers are allowed.
3) Round-offs and cartwheels, including one handed cartwheels are allowed.
4) Front and back handsprings are prohibited.
5) Dive rolls are permitted

Stunts
1) Extended stunts are prohibited. Stunts may not pass through or be held at an extended position. (Refer to the glossary for the definition of an extended stunt)
2) Walking stunts where the flyer remains stationary are allowed.
3) During a transitional stunt, if the weight of the flyer does not remain within the original vertical axis of his/her stunt group, three stationary catchers are required. Physical contact must be maintained with the base(s).
4) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
5) Single based split catches are prohibited.
6) Single leg stunts are allowed below prep (shoulder) level.
7) Bases must remain in contact with the flyer at all times. Transitional stunts can not involve changing bases.
8) Up to ¼ twist is permitted in mounts.
9) No assisted or free flipping mounts or transitional stunts are allowed.
10) All stunts at shoulder level or above (except straddle sits) require a spotter.

Pyramids (must follow all Level 1 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) All pyramids are allowed up to two (2) high.
2) A flyer in an extended stunt must be braced by at least two flyers at prep level with arm/hand connection. All flyers must have both feet in base(s) hands. (i.e. two legged stunts only) The connection must be made at or below prep level.
3) All single leg stunts at prep level (shoulder level) must be braced by at least two persons at prep level or below.
4) All stunts at prep level or higher require a spotter. Exception: Shoulder/Straddle sit.

Inversions
1) No inversions allowed

Dismounts
1) All free flipping and assisted flipping dismounts or any kind are prohibited.
2) Tension drop/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
4) Cradles from a single based stunt must have a spotter with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
5) Multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter positioned at the head and shoulder through the cradle.
6) Only straight pop downs and basic straight cradles are allowed.
7) Extended stunts in pyramids may not be cradled.

Tosses & Release Moves
1) No release moves allowed other than those in Level 1 “Stunts” and “Dismounts”
2) Release moves may not land in a prone position
3) No tosses allowed.

Level 2 Rules
Standing Tumbling
1) Flips and aerials are prohibited.
2) No jump skill is allowed in immediate combination with a hand spring. (Ex: Pike back handspring or back handspring toe touch would be prohibited)
3) No series front or back handsprings.
4) No twisting while airborne.
5) Handsprings must involve hand support from both hands.

Running Tumbling
1) Flips and aerials are prohibited.
2) No twisting while airborne.
3) Series front or back handsprings are allowed.
4) Forward to backward tumbling is allowed. Example: Front handspring round-off back handspring is allowed.
5) One-handed handsprings are allowed.

Stunts
1) A spotter is required for all extended stunts.
2) Single based split catches are prohibited.
3) No assisted or free flipping mounts or transitional stunts are allowed.
4) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
5) When catching a transitional stunt that is above prep level, at least three catchers are required.
6) During a transitional stunt, if the weight of the flyer does not remain within the original vertical axis of his/her stunt group, three stationary catchers are required.
7) Single leg stunts may not pass through or be held at an extended position.
8) During a transition the flyer must maintain contact with at least one of their original bases.
9) Twisting transitions and mounts are limited to ½ twist (180°).
10) Single base double cupies (awesome) require a separate spotter for each flyer.

Pyramids (must follow all Level 2 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
2) All pyramids are allowed up to two (2) high.
3) Extended single leg stunts are allowed providing:
a) Must be braced by a flyer at prep level or below.
b) The connection to the bracer(s) may be hand to hand or hand to foot and must be established at or below prep level.
c) Prep level bracer(s) must have both feet in bases hands.
i) Exception thigh stand, shoulder sit, or shoulder stand.
4) Extended single leg stunts may not be brace or be braced by any other extended stunts.
5) Top person must receive primary support from a base. Exception: In hanging pyramids primary supporting flyer must be at or below prep level.
6) Hanging pyramids must remain upright. Each top person at prep level must have a continuous spotter and bases must brace the hanging flyer(s).

Inversions
1) Ground level inversions into a stunt are permitted. The inversion must start on the ground (i.e. the flyer’s hands must be on the ground) and end in a stunt. Example: Handstand on the ground into a sponge would be legal. Cradle to a handstand walk out would be illegal.
2) Inversions above ground level are prohibited.

Dismounts
1) All free flipping and assisted flipping dismounts or any kind are prohibited.
2) Tension drop/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
4) Cradles from a single based stunt must have a spotter with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
5) Multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter positioned at the head and shoulder through the cradle.
6) Cradles are permitted from extended single leg stunts in pyramid.
7) Only straight pop downs, basic straight ride and ¼ turn cradles are allowed.
a) All other positions i.e. tuck, toe touch, pike etc. are prohibited.
b) Cradles exceeding ¼ turn are prohibited.
8) When cradling a single based double cupie (awesome) two (2) catches must catch each flyer. Catchers and bases must be stationary prior to the start of the dismount.

Release Moves
1) No release moves allowed other than those in Level 2 “Stunts” and “Dismounts”
2) Release moves may not land in a prone position
3) Helicopters are not allowed
4) A full twisting log roll (barrel) is allowed as long as it starts and ends in a cradle.

Tosses
1) Tosses are allowed provided;
a) Tosses must be performed from ground level and end in a cradle;
b) No more than 4 bases tossing;
c) One of the bases must remain behind the flyer during the toss and is responsible for catching the head and shoulder area of the flyer.
d) The flyer must be caught by 3 of the original bases, one must be positioned at the head and shoulder area during the cradle;
e) Tosses may not intentionally travel (bases must remain stationary).
2) No stunt, pyramid, prop, individual, or other toss may move over or under a toss. A toss may not be thrown over a stunt, pyramid, prop or individual.
3) All types of tosses are allowed. (basket, sponge, squishy, and/or scrunch)
4) A straight body ride or a toe touch are the only body positions allowed during a toss.
5) During a straight body ride toss, the flyer may use variations of arm positions provided the legs and body remain in a straight ride position.

Level 3 Rules
Standing Tumbling
1) No tucks/flips allowed.
2) Side (cartwheel) aerials and side somis are permitted.
3) Series front and back handsprings are allowed.
4) Twisting while airborne is prohibited. Exception: Onodi
5) At least one hand must provide support while passing through an inverted position. Exception: Side aerial, side somi, Arabian mounter

Running Tumbling
1) Front tucks (Punch Fronts) are allowed.
2) Flips may only be performed in a tuck or lay-out position and only from a round off or round off back handspring entry.
a) Skills not allowed are: lay-out step out, x-outs, whips, tuck pikes, front aerials, and Arabians.
3) Forward to backward tumbling is allowed provided all tumbling skills prior to the tuck have at least one hand providing support while in an inverted position. Example, Front walkover round-off back handspring, back handspring lay-out, would be legal. Punch front round-off back handspring, lay-out would be prohibited.
4) Only a forward roll, backward roll or a back extension roll maybe performed after a tuck or lay-out, no other skills may be performed after the roll.
5) Twisting while airborne is prohibited. Exception: Onodi, Side Somi and cartwheel or round-off to an Arabian Mounter.

Stunts
1) A spotter is required for all extended stunts.
2) Single based split catches are prohibited.
3) When catching a transitional stunt that is above prep level, at least three catchers are required.
4) During a transitional stunt, if the weight of the flyer does not remain within the original vertical axis of his/her stunt group, three stationary catchers are required.
5) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
6) Single leg extended stunts are allowed.
7) No free flipping mounts or transitional stunts are allowed.
8) Twisting transitions and mounts are limited to one full twist by the flyer (360°).
9) During a transition the flyer must maintain contact with at least one of their original bases.
10) Single base double cupies (awesome) require a separate spotter for each flyer.

Pyramids (must follow all Level 3 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
2) All pyramids are allowed up to two (2) high.
3) Extended single leg stunts may not be brace or be braced by any other extended stunts.
4) Top person must receive primary support from a base. Exception: In hanging pyramids, the primary supporting flyer must be at or below prep level.
5) Hanging pyramids must remain upright. Each top person at prep level must have a continuous spotter and bases must brace the hanging flyer(s).
6) During pyramid transitions, a flyer may pass above 2 persons high only while in direct contact with two flyers at prep level or below, one connection must be arm-arm/ hand-hand. These transitions may not involve changing bases.
7) During a pyramid transition the flyer may not become inverted while released from the bases.

Inversions
1) No inverted stunts are permitted above prep (shoulder) level. The connection and support of the flyer with the base(s) must be at prep level or below.
a) Exception: Double base suspended forward roll dismount to the competition floor or to a cradle is allowed.
2) Downward inversions are allowed provided:
a) The inversion is below prep level;
b) The flyer(s) are assisted by a minimum of two bases who are positioned at the head and shoulder area of the flyer;
c) Flyer maintains contact with an original base;
d) The stunt may not pass through a prep level or higher and then become inverted.

Dismounts
1) All free flipping dismounts or any kind are prohibited.
2) Tension drop/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
4) Cradles from a single based stunt must have a spotter with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
5) Multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter positioned at the head and shoulder through the cradle.
6) When cradling a single based double cupie (awesome) two (2) catches must catch each flyer. Catchers and bases must be stationary prior to the start of the dismount.
7) Double base suspended forward roll dismount to the competition floor or to a cradle is allowed.
8) Up to 1 ¼ twists from any two legged stunt.
9) Up to 1 skill allowed during a dismount from any two legged stunt. i.e. toe touch to a cradle.
10) Up to a ¼ twist from any single leg stunt.

Release Moves
1) No release moves allowed other than those in Level 3 “Stunts” and “Dismounts”
2) Release moves may not land in a prone position
3) Helicopters are not allowed

Tosses
1) Tosses are allowed provided;
a) Tosses must be performed from ground level and end in a cradle;
b) No more than 4 bases tossing;

3) Inversions are not allowed in tosses
4) Up to one twisting rotation (360°) allowed in a toss; no skill other than a twist is allowed.
5) In a toss, up to one trick is allowed. Example: Toe touch, ball out, kick, pretty girl, all would be legal. Examples of illegal tosses: kick full, switch kick, double toe touch.

Level 4 Rules
Standing Tumbling
1) Standing flips and aerials are allowed. (including flips with a back handspring entry)
2) No consecutive flip-flip combinations allowed.
3) 0 twisting rotations are allowed. Exception: Onodi and Side Somi.

Running Tumbling
1) Tumbling Skills allowed up to 1 flipping and 1 twisting rotations.

Stunts
1) A spotter is required for all extended stunts.
2) Single based split catches are prohibited.
3) Single leg extended stunts are allowed.
4) When catching a transitional stunt that is above prep level, at least three catchers are required.
5) During a transitional stunt, if the weight of the flyer does not remain within the original vertical axis of his/her stunt group, three stationary catchers are required.
6) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person.
7) Single base double cupies (awesome) require a separate spotter for each flyer.
8) No free flipping mounts or transitional stunts are allowed.
9) Twisting transitions and mounts are limited to one and one half full twists by the flyer. (540°)
10) During a transition the flyer must maintain contact with at least one of their original bases. Exception: See Release moves

Pyramids (must follow all Level 4 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) No stunt or pyramid, or individual may move under or over another stunt, pyramid or person. Exception: Pyramids/ Pyramid transitions where a flyer travels over a leg or extremity would be legal (i.e. wolf wall and leap frog transitions)
2) All pyramids are allowed up to two (2) high.
3) Extended single leg stunts may not be brace or be braced by any other extended stunts.
4) During pyramid transitions, a flyer may pass above 2 persons high only while in direct contact with at least one flyer at prep level. Primary weight may not be borne at the second level.
5) A flyer must receive primary support from a base. Exception: Hanging pyramids, primary supporting flyer must be at prep level or below.
6) Non inverted transitional pyramids may involve changing bases. Physical contact must be maintained with a flyer at prep level or below during the transition.
7) Hanging pyramids must remain upright. Each top person at prep level must have a continuous spotter and bases must brace the hanging flyer(s).
8) Pyramid transition may involve inversions, including braced flips providing:
a) Physical contact is maintained with two flyers at prep level or below;
b) The flyer that has been released from the bases stays in continuous movement.
c) No more than 1 ¼ flipping rotations;
d) Twisting rotations are prohibited;
e) Do not travel in a downward direction;
f) And do not involve changing bases.

Inversions (also see “Stunts” and “Pyramids”)
1) Extended inverted stunts are allowed.
2) Downward inversions are allowed provided:
a) The inversion is below prep level;
b) The flyer(s) are assisted by a minimum of two bases who are positioned at the head and shoulder area of the flyer;
c) Flyer maintains contact with an original base;
d) The stunt may not pass through a prep level or higher and then become inverted.

Dismounts
1) All free flipping dismounts or any kind are prohibited.
2) Tension drop/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
4) Cradles from a single based stunt must have a spotter with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
5) Multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter positioned at the head and shoulder through the cradle.
6) When cradling a single based double cupie (awesome) two (2) catchers must catch each flyer. Catchers and bases must be stationary prior to the start of the dismount.
7) Single leg stunts: up to 1 ¼ twisting rotations are allowed.
8) Two legged stunts: up to 2 ¼ twisting rotations allowed.
9) Twisting dismounts may not include any other skill.

Release Moves
Release moves apply only to free standing stunts, they do not refer to pyramid transitions or cradles
1) Release moves may not land in a prone position.
2) Helicopters are not allowed.
3) Release moves are allowed but must not exceed extended arm levels;
a) If the base(s) releases a stunt it must come back to the original base(s) i.e. tick tocks are legal.

Tosses
1) Tosses are allowed provided;
a) Tosses must be performed from ground level and end in a cradle;
b) No more than 4 bases tossing;
c) One of the bases must remain behind the flyer during the toss and is responsible for catching the head and shoulder area of the flyer.
d) The flyer must be caught by 3 of the original bases, one must be positioned at the head and should area during the cradle;
e) Tosses may not intentionally travel (bases must remain stationary); Exception: during a kick full basket toss a ¼ turn is permitted by bases.
f) Flipping or inverted tosses are prohibited.
2) Up to 2 skills allowed during a toss. i.e. kick full, double toe touch
3) Up to 2 twisting rotations allowed.
4) Any toss that exceeds more than 1-1/4 rotation, no other skill may be combined with the toss. Example: Kick doubles would be prohibited.
5) No stunt, pyramid, prop, individual, or other toss may move over or under a toss. A toss may not be thrown over a stunt, pyramid, prop or individual.

Level 5 Rules
Standing and Running Tumbling
1) Up to 1 flipping and 2 twisting rotations allowed.

Stunts
1) A spotter is required for all extended stunts.
2) Single based split catches are prohibited.
3) Single leg extended stunts are allowed.
4) When catching a transitional stunt that is above prep level, at least three catchers are required.
5) During a transitional stunt, if the weight of the flyer does not remain within the original vertical axis of his/her stunt group, three stationary catchers are required.
6) Single base double cupies (awesome) require a separate spotter for each flyer.
7) No free flipping mounts or transitional stunts are allowed.
8) Twisting transitions and mounts are limited to two twists by the flyer (720°).
9) Transitional stunts may involve changing bases provided physical contact is maintained with a flyer at or below prep level.

Pyramids (must follow all Level 5 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) All pyramids are allowed up to two (2) high.
2) Hanging pyramids must remain upright. Each top person at prep level must have a continuous spotter and bases must brace the hanging flyer(s).
3) During pyramid transitions, a flyer may pass above 2 persons high only while in direct contact with at least one flyer at prep level. Primary weight may not be borne at the second level. Transition must be continuous.
4) Non inverted transitional pyramids may involve changing bases. Physical contact must be maintained with a flyer at prep level or below during the transition.
5) Pyramid transitions may involve inversions, including braced flips, while released from the base(s) provided contact is maintained with at least one flyer at prep level or below. The inversion may include up to 1 and ¼ flipping rotations.
6) Braced flips (inversions) may involve up to 1 and ¼ flipping rotation and 1 twisting rotation. Braced flips (inversions) may only twist if contact is maintained with two flyers at prep level or below.
7) All braced inversions must be caught by a minimum of two catchers. Catchers must be stationary and must maintain visual contact with the flyer when the braced flip (inversion) is initiated.
8) Braced flips (inversions) may not travel downward.

Inversions (also see “Stunts” and “Pyramids”)
1) Extended inverted stunts are allowed.
2) Downward inversions are allowed from an extended position provided:
a) the primary weight of the flyer is assisted by a minimum of three bases;
b) One of the assisting bases is positioned at the head and shoulder area of the flyer;
c) Contact must be initiated at prep (shoulder) area;
d) Flyer must maintain contact with an original base.

Dismounts
1) All free flipping dismounts or any kind are prohibited.
2) Tension drop/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
4) Cradles from a single based stunt must have a spotter with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
5) Multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter positioned at the head and shoulder through the cradle.
6) When cradling a single based double cupie (awesome) two (2) catches must catch each flyer. Catchers and bases must be stationary prior to the start of the dismount.
7) Up to 2 ¼ twisting rotations allowed from all stunts.

Release Moves
Release moves apply only to free standing stunts, they do not refer to pyramid transitions or cradles
1) Release moves may not land in a prone position
2) Helicopters are legal provided:
a) Up to 180°
b) No more than ½ twist
c) Helicopter must be caught by at least 3 bases.
d) One base must be positioned at the head and shoulder of the flyer.
3) Release moves are allowed but must not exceed more than 18 inches above the extended arm level;
a) If the base(s) releases a stunt it must come back to the original base(s) i.e. tick tocks are legal.

Tosses
1) Tosses are allowed provided;
a) Tosses must be performed from ground level and end in a cradle;
b) No more than 4 bases tossing;
c) One of the bases must remain behind the flyer during the toss and is responsible for catching the head and shoulder area of the flyer.
d) The flyer must be caught by 3 of the original bases, one must be positioned at the head and should area during the cradle;
e) Tosses may not intentionally travel (bases must remain stationary); Exception: during a kick full basket toss a ¼ turn is permitted by bases.
f) Flipping or inverted tosses are prohibited.

Level 6 Rules
Standing Tumbling
1) Up to 1 flipping and 2 twisting rotations allowed.

Running Tumbling
1) Up to 1 flipping and 3 twisting rotations allowed.

Stunts
1) Single based split catches are prohibited.
2) Single base double cupies (awesome) require a separate spotter for each flyer.
3) Twisting transitions and mounts are limited to two twists by the flyer (720°).
4) Transitional stunts may involve changing bases.
5) Rewinds must originate from ground level only and are allowed up to 1 flipping and 2 twisting rotations.

Pyramids (must follow all Level 6 Stunts and Dismount Rules)
1) Pyramids are allowed up to 2 ½ high provided;
a) A spotter must be positioned in the front and in the back for each flyer on the third level;
b) Spotter must maintain visual contact with the flyer at all times;
c) Spotter must be positioned in a way that they can safely catch/spot the flyer;
d) Spotters may not be a primary support of the pyramid;
e) Spotters may not be involved in any other choreography during the pyramid;
f) Spotters must be your own team members.
2) During a pyramid transition, the flyer may pass above 2 ½ high as long as physical contact is maintained with at least one flyer at prep level or below.
3) Free flipping mounts must originate from the ground level only and may not exceed 1 flipping and 2 twisting rotations.
4) Braced flips are allowed up to 1 ¼ flipping and 1 twisting rotations;
a) Contact must be maintained by the flyer with at least one person at prep level or below;
b) Must be caught by two persons.
5) No rewinds onto 2 ½ high pyramids.

Inversions (also see “Stunts” and “Pyramids”)
1) Inverted stunts are allowed up to 2 ½ high and must be braced by at least one flyer at prep level or below.
2) Downward inversions are allowed from an extended position provided:
a) The primary weight of the flyer is assisted by a minimum of two bases;
b) Flyer must maintain contact with an original base.

Dismounts
1) When cradling a single based double cupie (awesome) two (2) catchers must catch each flyer. Catchers and bases must be stationary prior to the start of the dismount.
2) Tension drops/rolls of any kind are prohibited.
3) Single based cradles that exceed 1 ¼ twisting rotations must have a spotter assisting the cradle with at least one hand/arm supporting the head and shoulder of the top person.
4) Dismounts to the competition floor from stunts and/or pyramids must be assisted by an original base.
5) Free flipping dismounts are legal provided:
a) No more than 1 flipping rotation;
b) No twisting rotations allowed with flip;
c) Originate at prep level only;
d) Must be caught by minimum of 2 original bases.
6) Free flipping dismounts to the competition floor are prohibited.
7) ¾ front flip dismount is allowed from a 2 ½ high pyramid but requires 2 catchers and an additional spotter at the head and shoulders of the flyer. Spotter must have at least one hand/arm to catch under the flyer’s head and shoulders.
8) Up to 2 ¼ twists are allowed from single leg and two legged stunts and pyramids up to 2 persons high.
9) Cradles from 2 ½ high pyramid are allowed up to 1 ¼ twist and require 3 catchers. Exception, 2-1-1 thigh stands may perform 2 twists from a forward facing stunt only!
10) Up to 3 twisting rotations are allowed from two legged stunts at prep level only. Flyer must be caught by 3 bases. One base must be positioned at the head and shoulders of the flyer and have a minimum of one hand/arm on the flyers head and shoulders.

Release Moves
Release moves apply only to free standing stunts, they do not refer to pyramid transitions or cradles
1) Release moves are allowed.
2) Helicopters are legal provided:
a) Up to 180°
b) No more than ½ twist
c) Helicopter must be caught by at least 3 bases.
d) One base must be positioned at the head and shoulder of the flyer.

Tosses
1) Tosses are allowed provided;
a) Tosses must be performed from ground level and end in a cradle;
b) No more than 4 bases tossing;
c) One of the bases must remain behind the flyer during the toss and is responsible for catching the head and shoulder area of the flyer.
2) No stunt, pyramid, prop, individual, or other toss may move over or under a toss. A toss may not be thrown over a stunt, pyramid, prop or individual.
3) Non-flipping tosses may not exceed 3 ¼ twists.
4) Flipping tosses are allowed up to 1 flipping and 2 twisting rotations.
5) A flyer may be tossed to another set of bases provided;
a) Flyer is cradled by minimum 3 stationary catchers;
b) Catchers must have visual contact with the flyer when the toss is initiated;
c) Catchers may not be involved in any other choreography during the toss;
d) Toss does not exceed 1 ½ twisting and 0 flipping rotations. Exception; ¾ front flips with no twists are allowed.
